Buck Bones?

A "Buck Camo Knife" that looks to be the Buck Bones is on sale at a Canadian Tire near my house for $ ##.93 vs. $49.99 regular price. Looks like it could be a nice beater knife for prying and other misuse. It looks like this could be an impulse buy...

Anyone have the Buck Bones? Thoughts?

Lets be careful of violating the no outside Blade Forum legal sellers price spotting rule.

You could say, Wow, I found a half price deal at Canadian Tire on the etc., etc.

I realize its splitting hairs, buts it just the way it is. 300

I didn't know that but I can see how my original post could be construed as trying to sell something!

I ended up buying the camo Buck Bones first thing this morning. I am not a fan of the tactical look of knives and would have preferred the other finishes, but they weren't on sale (not sure why one finish is less than half the regular price and the others aren't). Anyway, it's my both first linerlock and tanto and I really like it. There is a lot of critique/suspicion/dislike with Made In China models, but this one is very sturdy with no side-to-side play or any wiggle. The action is really smooth and easy to open and close one-handed.

I doubt the 1" long serrated section will be of much use and seems more for style, but I look forward to putting my new Buck to good use this summer. I'm glad I picked this one up! A good early Christmas present to me.

Great! You got a nice gift for yourself.

One thing that 300 was getting at is that generally we cannot directly mention any vendor that does not financially support Blade Forums. That is a rule of Blade Forums and not of all forums. Normally, we cannot mention them by name. However, in your context, by Blade Forums rules, you could have said, "I found _______ knife at a Canadian Tire at a great price" and not mention the price. It would have been better to have mentioned that you found the knife at a tire store for half off without mention of name or price. Then, if people wanted to know where, they could contact you privately.

Merry Christmas. Enjoy your time with us on this sub forum. You will meet a lot of nice and helpful people here.
