Does anyone save the box their knives come in? I have two recent purchases (119 and 110) that came in the box. I put the boxes on a shelf in my basement, but don't really see a need to save them. Both knives are meant as "working" knives, and neither one is a custom design. I could understand saving the box for a special release (e.g., 75th anniv.) or a custom knife, but not for your run of the mill popular model.

I'm OCD and tend to keep so many boxes plus if you resale them and have those boxes it might help with the amount you can receive for the knife.

I dont unless they are custom shop ones or the pine wood special run ones. yellow and black boxes, I toss them.

A lot of opinions here.......but if you're young enough.......

One thing to keep in mind is that some older boxes and papers, etc., are now worth as much or more than the knife that came in them.

Thus if you have room to store them and keep them in great condition.......doing so could make you some money many years down the road.

I bought a stack of old Winchester, S&W and Ruger boxes a few years ago for, I think it was four dollars and sold them off individually on e-Bay for a grand total of five to six hundred dollars.

Not only do I save boxes, I make boxes for the knives that didn't come with boxes. :D
