Just received the Bravo Rescue I ordered. Seems like a really sturdy blade, as I hoped. But I'll be damned if I can close the thing! It opened real smooth. I just watched a video of the knife being opened, worked with, and put away - I still can't close it, feel like an idiot. Any help would be appreciated.....

sounds like our kick angle is off if the liner is biting into the blade that bad. Do you have the date from the box? We will need to fix it for you.

The date on the box is 1/8/11. So closing should be as simple as just pushing down on the blade? Or is there more to it than that?

I have a Bravo , which I think is pretty much the same thing as a Bravo Rescue, expect the rescue has the glass breaker and lacks a pocket clip. The liner lock on these is pretty stiff initially. Just keep trying to work it loose and it will eventually loosen up. The Bravo is one of my smoothest opening knives I have.

What Evil Eye Earl said. The Bravo is a liner-lock knife. Sounds like you haven't used a liner-lock knife before. If that's the case, take at the handle of the Bravo. One of the liners shifts over to lock the blade open; just push the liner to the left and the blade should be free to close.

If, on the other hand, you're familiar with the operation of a liner lock and the lock is just jamming, then you may want to send it back to Buck as Mr. Hubbard suggests.

The knife closes fine - I just had to get the hang of it. Sorry for the dumb question, thanks to those who replied.
