Did a Buck/Strider Tainia 882 ever exist with the G10 and plain edge? All I have ever seen are the combo edge, except New Graham has a picture of a plain edge version that is sold out and discountinued. Anybody know where I could still get one of these?

If the PE ats-34 version dosn't exist I might go ahead and try out the 889 version, but who could tell me how durable the black coating is? Is it durable like BM or Spydercos? Thanks for any replies

Rusty,

I did a quick check of the 2002-2006 Buck catalogs... they do not show the 882 with a plain edge. Someone with more knowledge and resources may be along. Did you try their website, maybe an e-mail? Preston

Per Mike, at NG, the Buck BU882-BK (plain edge, ATS-34) is on their list to check availability with distributors early next week. If any of their distributors have them then they should be on their site next weekend.

Also, Bestknives show the plain edge Buck 882 on their site. However, the handle is FRN, just like the knife show on New Graham. G-10 would be a plus.

Is there a line forming?

Best,

oregon
