I can't read the specs in photo - but if it's just a standard old buck-boost transformer you'll still have AC voltage coming out. You'll need a way to change that to DC. Also depends on size of transformer - KVA rating, amps, etc. A 1 hp DC motor is going to pull several amps - maybe on the range of 15 amps or so depending on efficiency of DC conversion and motor.

Just looking at photo the size of transformer in comparison to the cords shown it doesn't look like an especially large amperage xformer.

And possibly filtered well too.
As your motor appliance was designed to run on smooth DC battery, it might not be happy running on unfiltered DC.

Just buy four big truck batteries and hook them in series to run the motor. Hook them in parallel to charge them. Should cost about $400-500 counting the charger. Of curse all it will run is that low grade 48VDC motor at full speed.

.... OR, buy a 1Hp 90/180VDC motor and controller from a surplus pace for a fraction of that.

Sometimes folks in other countries have to "make do" with what they can get. It's amazing how much more stuff is available here in USA for MUCH less than in some other countries.
