Buck Canoe

Its actually less than I was planning on spending, but thats just fine... And does anyone have experience with the Canoe?

Do you have a pic??? My local Ace Hardware has a nice 2-blade Case w/yellow-white scales I've been eyeballing for $46...I thought it was a bit much, but seeing what Buck wants these days, it's a bargain... :)

The knife is listed at $27.00 on Buck's web site, but given the resent pricing changes that maybe the monthly payment.

Is this the Canoe?

The one I saw was a Wal Mart special. It has a fake pearl handle called polly pearl I think. It comes with a small Texas toothpick. It can be had for $18 and change at my local wally world. Looks like a well made and nice china knife, if you are in to that. If not, buy a case.

...hmmm...As a diehard lockback guy I kina like that...What in the world is happening to me???...:p

$18.00 at Smokey Mountain Knife Works.....Am I'm going to get in trouble for mentioning this? Oh, well....

Just went to Wal Mart and got the 2008 collector series Toothpick and Canoe in the poly pearl scales. They also have another set of a toothpick and a medium trapper. Both sets cost $18.95 each. I got the one and have already passed the word to my wife and mom that I need the other one.

Do Wal Mart and Collector and China all belong in the same sentence? :p

I would say Wal Mart and Beater and China is more appropriate. ;)

I'll probably get one of these myself as the Canoe is my favorite traditional pattern. BUT I think you'll probably find a Queen in D2 or a Boker (if you can still find one) to be better. They are your traditional style Canoe with decently thick main blade and one large backspring. Case Canoes are pretty but are not made as well as they used to be.
