Buck Caper with no model number?

I saw an older Buck Caper without a model number today. It had the Black phenolic handle with red spacers and no sheath. Can someone give a date range on this one. I am not a straight knife collector but do have a 119 and 120. This one was pretty rough.

It had 2 lines on the front Buck with USA below. The USA would designate that it as made in 1968 or later? So approximately 68 - 72?
 
In 1967 Buck added the 'USA' to the stamp. Then in 1969 the spacer material was changed from red to burgundy micarta. DM
