Wondering if some of the experts could value my childhood collection:) I am thinking I had had a pretty good eye as a kid long ago:)

First up Buck 110 in really bad shape, 102 and 118 (don't think I ever used or sharpened these two):

Up next Kalinga (mint but I shaved a little bit of the leather off on the sheath to prove to my 11 yo self it was sharp), , Buck 515 (mint) and a Honemaster 136:

And finally a Buck 120 (that has a broken tip because it needed to be thrown into trees at the time!), and a Buck 184, which I think I have the compass somewhere:

Merry Christmas and Thank you in advance!

Got it! I edited my post for now, and will ask my question again after my membership is current. Sorry

Here's the official deal, unless you are a gold member you can't talk money or values on Blade Forums. This is to protect those who have bought sellers memberships. So you likely won't get any specific values on you presented knives. That is unless they want me, as moderator, to kick dirt on their shoes.

So, maybe someone will feel brave and kind enough to tell you that you have some good knives and then maybe since you can't use the Private Mail feature as a free member, they will give you a email to contact them and you two can get together to discuss value. First thing I would do is make a list of the model numbers on the tangs along with the date code symbol. Note any damage or scratches or other problems and then go from there with your contact. You can search the Buck sale area and the general forum sale area for those model numbers and get some idea on some of them.

I will tell you that if I were selling them as a group, I would expect to make enough money for a pretty nice auto shotgun.

I thought you had this as a copy+paste template...lol

already been answered, but just wanted to say that is one heck of a nice collection.

you Sir, must have worked very hard as a kid mowing lawns pulling weeds delivering papers etc to afford all of those.

Thanks 300bucks! I plan to do some trading, and just bought the gold membership.

Hi leswad,

you need to go back and click to change your name to gold (if you paid). it's not automatic it requiers your action, or others will still see you as a registered user not gold member.

Top right corner "Settings". Then on the left side "Permission Groups".

It's not really clear where to change that. At least it wasn't for me.

Now that you're legal.... Your collection is officially worth..... exactly what someone is willing to pay for it, and not a penny more! Congratulations!

Just kidding... sort of.

I'm no pro by any means, but I'm sure you'll get a better response from more seasoned Buck gurus.

Some things to do that will help:
Photos of tang stamps on all and good clear photos of the handles with the tangs of the fixed blades.

Most of these knives were made in the 6 or 7 figures as far as quantities. Original condition, original boxes and paperwork always help. As for turning things into cash, the Buckmaster has the most cash value. The Kalinga, though a great knife, has been made in that configuration for decades. I could have picked up a Micarta handled one (1st gen) in the box for $80. The snap on the sheath was broken or it could have sold for maybe twice that.

The absolute best way to get honest "what's it worth" prices is from an auction site. Look for the model, then look only at "completed" auctions. You'll see what people pay, and what they don't pay.

Barter value may be higher or lower depending on how bad you want each other's stuff.

Bring those photos and we'll help as best we can.

Thanks everyone! That Kalinga will hopefully be losing its virginity to buck this weekend. It probably won't be mint by the end of the season.
