Jeff,

Could you give a quick pitch here about the collectors group and the perks involved?

Thanks!

Mike,
Thanks but I already had seen the info on the Buck Web Page. The reason I opened this thread is that I'm hearing through the grapevine that members in good stead have other perks beyond those listed to include what amounts to a special order service for custom tweaks to regular knives. I was hoping to have the mystery cleared up.

Bob

Bob,

The Buck Collectors Club puts out a quarterly newsletter with a lot of info on Buck knives. Special projects are usually listed each quarter. A dealer catalog and price sheet goes out with each February newsletter. Table space for member displays is provided free of charge at the Blade Show and several regional shows as well. A list of Bucks for sale by indivuals is available and when room permits some classifieds are in the newsletter. Getting to know other club members and what they collect, so that we can help each other out is a great asset. Yearly members only club knives are also available to all members. The club just recently became incorporated and we are seeking non-profit status from the IRS. It is a great club and I welcome you to join.

John,

I appreciated both this public post and the private e-mail. You have indeed clarified much about the inner workings of the club for me. I guess it is all too easy to discount how effective the membership can be when networked properly. I will indeed give further thought to joining.

Thanks again!

Bob,

I was a member and because of procrastination and being so busy running my business, I have let my membership lapse. Things seem to slip the mind easier, the older we get.

I am definitely renewing, it's worth it. Seeing your post reminded me. Thanks.

Isn't it amazing how 2 cents worth of opinion takes up a quarter's worth of paper???

Thanks for the answers guys, I was waiting for Joe Houser to get back from Blade to get the offcial word on member benifits. I'll see if there are anymore that he can think of...

Jeff

Yes, thanks Dennis and thank you "Your Baldness" and the only thing "old" around here is the mountain...Gene.

Gene,
It's good to see one of the original "Military" men back in action. Can we expect to see more of you?

Good to see you back.

Take care,

Hey "hi" Greg. You bet. I'll be back posting a lot more now that my insane work hours have been trimmed back. Thanks for the kind words "Military Man".

Gene,

I'm with Greg... glad to see you planning to be around here more often. And given we're the same age, you know what that "old" bit was all about

Hey Bob, Considering your moniker and my hairline, I'll bet we could put our heads together and make a perfect ass of ourselves.

Although I still haven't taken the plunge to become a member, I did just picked up one of the new Chuck Buck Signature BG-42/Stag Model 400 knives with presentation box, papers, etc. I'm getting there

After dealing with Joe Houser for a short while, I became a Buck Collector's Club life member last year.
After only a few dealings with Jeff, I must say that I am completely impressed with the way Buck Knives treats their customers.
When I ordered one of the Buck History books, Joe took it around and had all of the Buck execs sign it for me.

If anyone has even a remote interest on Buck knives, do yourself a favor and become a member of the Collector's Club.

I am normally not a joiner; in this case I made an exception and have never regreted it. The folks at Buck are on the 'short list' of truly quality businesses along with Orvis and Zippo.

Thanks, Joe and Jeff and the rest of the folks who make Buck such a pleasure to deal with!

4 thumbs up!
