Being new to Buck collecting I would like to get to know the other Buck collectors on the forums by having them post what they collect.

Do you collect everything Buck or does your collection of buck knives lean toward one area of collecting.

I am going to work on collecting the 700 series of pocketknives. I would like to learn as much as I can about the 700 series and over time(lots of time)have a example of each one that was made by buck. Maybe even have some re scaled by a custom knife maker so they would be one of a kind.

What Buck's do you collect?

Thanks,

My knife collecting started out by 'designing' a few Bowies & having them made. Within the last 4 months, I've fallen in love with the Buck 110! My first 110 was from PCKS & I've started a collection of 110's purchased from another forumite as well as eBay. Always looking for Limited Editions, special blade treatments, special handle materials, etc.. I even managed to slip an Alpha Folding Hunter and a Buck 532 into the collection! I'm about due to visit Pete's shop again & see what tickles my fancy this month. Have fun with your collecting interest but don't let it 'rule' your life! :D

I've been collecting Buck knives for 15 years now. I started out collecting any knife with Buck stamped on the tang. After several years I realized that I need to narrow my scope. My favorite Bucks were the ones from the Custom Shop. That's all that I collect now, Bucks with the Buck Custom stamp and no blade etchings.

I tend to collect 'consumer users' I've bought many of the new issues that I've been able to find. Taclight, Ecco, Access, Diamondback, etc to see how they hold up under daily life.

I started out with a stag-handled Vanguard with the Deer Profile cut into the blade. Then, I had to have the Ionfusion Buckote Vanguard with rubber handle. Of course the Millenium came along, so I had to get a couple of 532s, and since then, it has mostly been 110s ( gold blade etch as in Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill, and the Blacksmith Shop ) or Pete's Cusoms. I am thinking of narrowing down to semi customs and collaborations like the Buck/Mayo (172) and club knives. Take care, Rob

I don't know if I am a collector, since I use the knives I buy. I started buying Buck's in the early 70's and I like mostly pocket knives with wood, bone or stag scales. I do have a few fixed blades and high tech folders for hunting. I have quite a few 300 series with bone, also wood and stag 500 and 700 series. (One 500 series has a fiberglass resin handle.) I have two 110's about 30 years apart, the 110 is a little big for carrying around at work and too nice to go hunting.

It is getting harder to find Buck's with wood, bone or stag handles. :(

I've got a Buck 110 "riverboat" (I think that's what we came up with.) If anyone is interested in it, shoot me an e-mail for details because I'm thinking of possibly getting rid of the ol' boy.

I'm a 110 fan. A true classic, timeproven knife.

Fell in love with the PCKS 110, cant wait to get the next one!! :)

110's limiteds and serialized but I just bought 4 112's all with different wood. Since the 112 is a shorter 110 I guess its ok...

Interesting to see so many of you with focussed collections. I'm more of an 'accumulator,' so I buy individual knives because they interest me, not because they belong to some category that I'm trying to 'collect.'

That being said, I have several Buck knives in my collection including the 110, Special, Bucklite, Nighthawk(2), MiniBuck, and a Protoge.

What Buck knives would I like to add to my accumulation? All of 'em. :) I'd really like a General, Woodsman, and Vangard.
