Buck Colt #703 "Rod Mill"

Good evening, I have a brand new, in a brown box Buck Colt #703, Cat #259 knife that has a "Rod Mill" logo on it. Hand written on the box is "only 125 made, January 1988". I'm not sure I believe that, but I'm wondering just how rare, if at all, it is.
