Buck Converstions Opinons please...

Stu has an excellent rep on http://www.talkblade.info/ , and I will add my endorsement. He's a good guy.

I might suggest that you email him and ask if he has the double action conversions...they cost more, but IMHO are more useful...and less conspicuous... :)
 
Might ask if they are both manual and auto. And who warranties them. Buck won't warranty one. Mine are just collectable curios and not users. Seem to operate just fine. No idea if they are by this maker.
 
I have bought alot from Stu....he is great....just did not know about these conversions
 
Just by eyeballing the pics, they all look like single actions - auto only; you can't open them manually...Personally, I stay away from them...but an email to Stu might turn up a DA if you wanted one...
 
Pack rat is correct, Buck will not warranty any conversion. I have seen a few come back to us for work. Rarely do I see a new looking knife that does not work anymore. It is usually a heavily used knife and it is always the lock that is broken. I don't know who's conversion it is when one comes in so I cant help with that.
