Absolutely! I just got my Custom 110FG Koa and it is better than I imagined! The fit and finish is perfect and is noticeably better that a production version. With it's BG-42 blade, I figured that I might carry it as a 'user', but after seeing it in all it's glory, well, I am not so sure. ;)

yes it is hard to chouse to use...
all us buck junkeys have to make tough decisions like that every day...
who said life was fair...

My goodness!!!!!!!!! (sorry for the foul language)

I "thought" my 110 koa looked good until I saw your's APF.

WOW

How long did it take to get it from the time you ordered?

That Koa wood looks awesome!!!

My next custom 110 will definitely have the koa scales!

And I agree, the Custom Shoppe Buck 110 is absolutely worth the extra money.
I often ask myself why I never got one sooner.

Just got mine in day before yesterday BG 42 Jigged Buffalo Nickel silver and some script. I was not hapy with the sheath so I put it in a nice one I got from A G Russel

Hehe...thanks, guys, I think that I have chosen wisely. After having racked my brains and soul for the answer as to whether to use or display, I think that I have come to a conclusion. I must order another custom 110 that I will dedicate as a 'user'. Why do I get the feeling that this may be an endless process? :D

@ Goose - Pete told me to expect a delivery time of around six weeks and they in fact got it out the door and delivered in 5 weeks. The actual delivery time to BC was only 2 days.

Just a note for any Canadians that may want to order from the custom shop, the process was fast and completely painless. FedEx right to the door and no other charges.

Regards,

Al

@ mkhop - Yes, that jigged buffalo is definitely on my list. If you don't mind my asking, which sheath weren't you happy with, and why?

I ordered the exact same one. After seeing those pics I can't wait to see mine!

I am sure that you will be pleased, Al. It looks like the custom shop is into a good batch of Koa. That is one of the things that I like about the scales, each set is a 'one off' and different from the next set. I guess that gives me yet another reason to keep ordering custom 110's. :)

A.P.F.,

I had just ordered the Same knife minus the FG, when I saw yours. I have been debating between the Koa and the Fiji Orangewood, and your pics sealed the deal. That koa looked great accented with the Brass Bolsters. Oh.... I do love goooood bolsters :) Thanks for the pics, and sorta helping me decide. You got a great looking knife, and with that BG-42 you will have a good user, should you decide to.

Durbin

Thanks, Durbin! I am a real sucker for nice wood and brass as they really look like a work of art. I am glad you like the Koa/Brass combo and I can honestly say that the knife looks even better than the pics. I know that you will just love yours.
