I've never seen this pattern. Can anybody identify? "BUCK CUSTOM USA". 8" blade. The only marks on the other side is a small "85" on the blade.

Thanks, fan. I bought it yesterday at a gun show.
Any idea when these were made? I search the web and found several, but none with the same (exact) handle as this.

Gary, we have a collector that frequents here who collects Buck customs. The anvil stamp was first used as the 2002 date stamp. Later it was dedicated as the Buck custom stamp. So, your knife is likely a one of a kind from the Buck Custom shop. They number them, so yours is a early one and you may not find another exactly like it. A good find. DM

Thanks, David.
Since I am not a Buck collector, it was indeed "a good find" and a good investment. Hmmm.

Thanks John for the search and link toward this topic. I knew it was a long way back. Sooo many of those guys who wrote in it I remember and think fondly of. DM

Yes, David, it is a look in the past time. I'm missing the guys who smoothed my way into the Collectors Club.

The 901 Scimitar - as I remember Buck made them with different handles, 100 of them each, serialized, in the year of the grand opening in Idaho, 2005. But may be I am wrong. Somwhere in the forum someone stated 1000 expl. of one Scimitar model.

Thanks to you all.
I usually stay on the Levine Forum, but you guys have turned my head. I'll start visiting here too. You seem like good folks!

A much larger version of that knife was used to cut the Grand Opening Ribbon in Post Falls; I will try to load a pic of it...nice piece; I
have this one in my collection also:)
