The Buck Custom Knives most of the time have the makers initials stamped into them. Some of them I know who they are and some I do not. Below is a list of the initials I know of and the names of the ones that I know. Does anyone know who the others are??

WBC - Wild Bill Cody
JK - John Knapp
LR - Leroy Remer
JY - Juan Yuriart
DD - Dean Davidson
JL - Jeff Legerton
MM - Byron "Mac" McKinney
BM - Bob Miller
JH - Joe Houser

Also if there are any others please let me know.

Most of the older knives that came out of the original Buck Custom Shop back in the mid 80's and 90's up until their closing were stamped with the makers initials stamped somewhere on the blade but not all of them such as their 900 series custom knives. I believe most of the ones that come out of their special projects shop when you now order a so called custom on their website are not stamped by the maker.

Here is an example of what I am talking about and shows one of the places for the stamp to be.

"DD" is Dean Davidson [according to Joe, and the replacement Cert. he processed for a knife with that maker's mark]

I'm not sure this qualifies but Harold Klinkhamer had 2 series of the older fixed blades made by Buck with the blade stamp K with a little chain attached to a hammer.

Thank you everyone for your information so far. All I need now is JY and JL. I may have to send ask Joe Houser at Buck if no one else knows who the last 2 are.

JY - Juan Yuriart

JL - Jeff Legerton

JH - Joe Houser

MM - Byron "Mac" McKinney

You got JK right... :)

Thanks wilde Bill for JL's name

Thank you everyone for your help. Please let me know if there are any other Buck Custom makers initials or makers that I missed. Factory custom makers only please. Not aftermarket customizers.
