I sent a Ranger that I've had for maybe twenty years to Buck to have the blade replaced around the third week of August. I broke just the very end of the tip off, my fault. Also sent them my credit card number to cover repairs. Fully expected to pay for what ever they needed to do to the knife as it was not a warranty issue, it was misused by me. Well received the knife back today, no charge. I'm pretty sure it's a new knife. Blade has the Idaho stamp, and everything looks new. A big  thumbs up to an American company! Wish my truck had such a warranty.

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and have enjoyed reading many different threads. I just wanted to say that after emailing Joe Houser, he was able to pencil me in for a BG 42 blade upgrade for my old 110 with broken tip. I am extremly satisfied with the workmanship and quality and the price was very reasonable. Many thanks to Buck Knives and Joe Houser. :)

Billy bob,
I think it is important that I point out that you got the last BG-42 blade.
I think I have turned away a half dozen other guys wanting the same thing but I wont be able to do this sort of thing again until we get the custom shoppe going. :(

Thanks for the comments and I am glad you like the knife. Also, welcome!

Traderdell,
We have been repairing just about every 112 that comes in and I would bet that its a new blade in your existing handle. Its amazing how well the knives turn out when Danny, my rework specialist, gets done with them! He takes a lot of pride in his work and he cares about taking care of our customers.
Welcome!

Don't know if I'm more impressed with the knife or the photography. Well done!
