My Dad just won a bid for a D2 stag 118 personal and he cannot find any information on these special runs anywhere except for E Bay, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Eric

Bitter,Welcome.I'm not up to par on that one.It came up a while back and someone knew about it. So, just keep checking and they will answer. It was a limited Edition in stag I think. But I know where Round Rock is and have a first cousin who lives there.DM

Watch the hell out for a red honda suv. Sister will run you down!!!

His D2 is a limited edition Presidents Tour for 2004. Signed by Chuck Buck. There are supposedly only 100. Same Tang stamp on front and back of this one.
But just says :
Buck
Anvil
Custom
USA

Doesn't say 118 on it. D2 is on the back side with the serial number xxx/100 and Chuck Buck's sig.

The LE box will also have the serial number on it. It is supposed to be Sambar stag. Has red spacers.

Funny enough that you mention someone with a Red Honda SUV because I used to talk to this girl about a year ago who has/had one and yeah I don't know if she would run me down but she certainly would not be happy about me not calling for about a year, her names not Jessica is it? But thank you for the info and I will relay this to my Dad.

No,I don't know a Jessica or somebody w/ a red Honda SUV and I'm not in this with you guys.DM

My Sister could probably be your mother... Makes her all the more dangerous!!

don't go near Round Rock DM.:D You have been warned!

But I do not think that the D2 118 is the presidents model because it doesn't have the red spacers and no signature but it does have the D2 custom anvil on there and some nice stag so I hear.

Eric,

do you mean this one?

I found it at eBay. It is a build out (0118BO-B)

Buck had extra blades left from the Family favorites series. They were built and sold as "build out" knives. They had 2 different models, that I found, one was a phenolic handle and the other had the antler. Very nice knives. If I remember right they are stamped on both sides of the tang.

I bid on that one [even if it's not a 112] because it was such a beauty ! The D2 has a good rep and they ARE rare/odd...l

Yeah my Dad used to have an old 118 and it was his favorite and then he lost it or something, he can't remember what happened to it and then he won this one and a 1968-72 119(it doesn't have the date stamp so it's in that era).

Was just looking at Habbies pics of that blade. Is interesting that it doesn't have the tang stamp on both sides and the D2 is in a different place than the Presidents Tour ones.

And it doesn't really look like sambar to me.... but I know they all don't look alike :D

I don't have any informations about the D2-118. What I have is the label on the box. Is there anybody who knows more?

Are you current links? I didn't see those on the site.
Awfully attractive pricing if current. g

It's as current as their website is. Very good pricing for premium steel
I just found them a few minutes ago. Solves the mystery of where the original posters came from.

Ouch, I searched under completed listings and they're all going for more than we could buy them right from Buck for.
