Buck Displays at WKCC Show

The Wolverine Knife Collectors Club of Michigan, cordially invites BCC members to display their Buck Knives, as per our talks with Murray Andrews, we offering, free

display tables to any Buck Club members that bring their display of Buck Knvies to our Annual Show January 26,27,28, 2001. We feel these displays could go a long way toward promoting the BCC and knife collecting in general. Please contact me for any further information and table reservations.

For those not familiar with our show, we are expecting 225+ tables (8ft.) non-smoking show and a Saturday night auction. There is also running in the hall next to our show. The Michigan Antique Arms Collectors Show. This is also a rather large and interesting show.

Thought I would bring this back up, there is only about 1 month till the Show, we have have reached 200 tables and more reservations arrriving, promises to be a really good show. Remember Display Tables for Buck Club members are being furnished by the WKCC.

Hiya Frank!

Wish I could go, but work keeps me here. (And
it also keeps me supplied with more Buck knives.) *grins*

Anyways, I just wanted to share some of my
first experience showing knives with fellow
BCC members.

I was really nervous about my small display,
especially after seeing what all the others
had. All I had was a hodgepodge of about 20
Bucks. But that nervousness quickly changed
to wonder. You see, all those guys with the
big displays came over to say hi and look at
my knives. They all said they liked what I
had and offered advise on my next display.
They were genuinely interested in me and went
out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
The same goes for my wife, Mary.

So, if you are in the BCC and are wondering
if you should display...Go ahead and do it!
You'll have a great time and pick up a lot
of info about Buck Knives. And if you still
aren't sure, just go to the show and start up
a conversation with any of the BCC people.

Dave, Thanks for for your reply, you hit a lot of good points, after meeting Murray Andrews and joining BCCI, I was hooked, he insisted I bring a display to The NKCA Cincinnati Area Show, my first display took up about 2 feet of a table, by June for the Blade Show it was considerably bigger, largely due to the friendly & helpful members.

By the way Dave, you are only about 3-4 hours from our show, maybe you can scoot up one day.

Too bad you can't make it to display, I understand when duty calls.

I sure wish I could make it up to the show. Unfortunately, I can't take off that much time for work. It would take me a day and a half of driving to make it. My thoughts will certainly be with all my fellow Buck collectors at the show. Good luck!

Hi John, Yes we had an excellent show. Shue had his display, Judy & Murray (won a judges award for their 525's) Pat Donovan & I also displayed.
The Buck custom bowie made a real nice center piece for my display.

our survey results indicate sucessful event with a great turn out.
I was so busy, time just flew. Sold some nice Bucks and a good trade into some 106's.
We hope we will be able to get more Buck members to display next year.
