Buck does me a solid - I get my workhorse back...

A Buck 110 I've carried daily for 25 years or so finally developed a sprung lock. This was my workhorse and it felt wrong but it "retired" to a drawer for a year or two. I always wondered if it could be fixed but didn't want to take the chance on them sending me another one.

So I get it out to look at it and the green funk of an improperly stored knife greeted me. Additionally, the knife was put away dirty. So, I figure I'll try to send it in. I was told on the phone it could be 6+ weeks. I'm patient so no problem.

I got it after only a couple of weeks! It came back the cleanest it had been since I first opened its box, and the busted tip that I had crudely refashioned had also been reground and a new edge put on the old blade...oh....and the lock was fixed!

You folks at Buck may never know how happy I was to receive my old 110 back not only repaired, but in better shape than it has been in for years! I have other 110s, but none that I'd rather carry daily!

A very Merry Christmas to you all.

They do rock! I sent in a 110 with a broken blade and paid for an upgrade to ATS-34.

They cleaned and polished it so much it looks like anew 110.

That's why I just bought another 110, after my daughter-in-law 'acquired' my old one (on her birthday). Once I wear down the blade I might have a BG-42 installed to replace it.

ugh when you get the BG you have to sing a disco song here on the buck forum ... sorry thoes are the rules ... ask rhino! ;D

I'm glad you like the way the 110 turned out. Responses like yours are part of why we do that in the first place. Danny and Michelle are my rework people and I know they take a lot of pride in what they do.
Thanks for the compliments! :D :D
