At the knife show today I saw an ANIB Buck 120 General with a 'BUCK*' tang stamp.
Included in the box was a November 1966 purchase date. At least for the 120 that moves the date for the (*) back a little. My understanding was the 'BUCK' only stamp ran into early 1967 before transitioning to 'BUCK*' and then 'BUCK/USA' all in the same year. Not all models may have followed the exact timeline and like with all things BUCK datewise, +/- always seems to apply. /Roger

I had a good haul today....:)

David, I think it was like part of a warrenty card, it was in the owners handwriting noting the date the knife was purchased. Not a receipt.

This information is still not so far off from what we have pieced together and held as dates for the 3 stampings. I'd like to accept it but would
like something more concrete. DM
