Buck Ebony

does anyone know if buck has any plans to start making the 500-01-03-05-55 with ebony?

I hate to see inquiries on the forum go unanswered.
I would interpret the silence to mean no one knows the answer.
Guess it could possibly happen some day. We'll have to wait and see.

When it was available in the past, I dont recall ever seeing any of those models with ebony, but i havnt seen everything either.
My first thoughts would be that the scales on them are so thin the ebony may crack to easily without being stabilized or laminated.

The Model 55 will be going to ebony. Not sure about the rest of the 500 series.

Through the 80's the 500 series were offered with impregnated birch and other woods. You can often find these on auction sites and at gun shows. DM
