Hello All,

I’m new here and was hoping to find some help on giving me an idea of what some of my knives are worth that I recently purchased from a former buck employee. All of the knives are in un-used condition and are unique (as I was told by the former employee anyways). I’m not quite sure on how to post pictures yet, but I can e-mail them if needed.

Thanks-Armand

No kidding around here, without seeing them, I thinks they are worth at least one dollar each and I will buy all of them. Sight unseen.:D:D:D:D:D

Search threads on picture posting, you can upload to a free site and post them here. But pictures and Id # will be needed for any type of help.

Good Luck,
James

PS: I will even throw in the paypal fees extra.:D:D
PS2: Welcome to the forums

Yup...its definitely too early to tell. We gonna have to have models and date stamps and hopefully pics. But I am sure the knife it alls here will be able to give ya some pointers on value.

I'll bump JT a dollar and raise 10....lol (what do I know about poker)

Welcome to the forum and all the abuse and addiction that goes with it! :D:D

Hey Guys,

Thank you for the welcome! I'll have to look into posting the pics, but if anyone would be so kind as to host them for me then that would be great. If not then that's cool as well, and I'll try to get them up.

Thank you

Thanks for the tip! I've never used PB before, I've always hosted my own pictures. But being that we just moved and have a new provider I haven't had a chance to activate or create our accounts to upload the photos to. This was pretty easy, thanks again!

Thanks again

Wow!!! Nice stuff!!!!!

I have the only crosslock I have seen with the metal frame and holes, and you have three of them... whew....

And that 186 for some reason looks way larger than the 560. Maybe it is the camera angle as I am pretty sure they are the same frame size, I think. I don't have a 186

Even spotted a tiny ti...lol.. and I could go on and on...

Verrrry Nice stuff!!! Nice Grab..no matter what it cost ya.

As far as worth, one would have to look at each knife individually. Really hard to tell with these pics. Looks like lots and lots of research for ya on ebay..:)

My gosh, how much did you pay for the lot? There are a BUNCH of rare knives in that collection! I'd also be curious to know who it was you bought them from. THanks - Jim

I tried to buy one of those clear handle demo 110's once,...whew...
yeah...many rare knives there..

There were even a few I would wrestle the grizzly for. Someone must have needed money really bad. I guess giving up buying food was not a option.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the comments! I thought the crosslocks were rare, but the one in the middle is my fave which is damascus...and one of the others is like some sort of blue tinted steel. Can anyone point me in the right direction for researching? The person we got them from was in the marketing department, and said that a lot of these were used as demos for companies to see if they wanted to go forth with production.

Thanks,

-Armand

Well,,,you found a gold mine for sure. Just that green masterseries set is worth quite a few bucks. There are several auction places to look for values. ebay being the one I look at most to see what they go for, and that changes with the wind. Some days a crystal 560 will go for $50 and some days one will go for a hundred or more. Just never know...

Look up Larry Oden here and send him an email. He may have some of the Blade Guide to Knives left. Thats a bible to Buck collectors. But still just a general guideline. Some of the values there seem high to me, and some seem low.

I see a long future for this thread once all the guys drift in.... and new keyboards from the drooling.

Hi ItsTooEarly,

I guess you got up very early to catch that bunch of worms!!!!! Wow Nice score and welcome to the forum....and to your new adition...Buck knives. Thank you for sharing your photos. I wish I could find someone who wanted to sell me a lot-o-Bucks like that. You must feel like you won the lottery. I'm going to be dreaming of those knives tonight....and I'll have a big smile on my face ;)

Yup, *lots* of rare Bucks in that picture(s)...So many, and so rare, that I get a bad feeling about them... :(

Getting hold of Larry Oden is the best idea...He's an authorized Buck distributor, and the closest thing to a walking Buck encyclopedia we have, now...and an avid Buck collector...Plus a Buck Collector's Club officer...

He can help you the most; much better that all the emails you are getting now with their ridiculously low offers... ;)
