Buck factory/SPA edge; how is it?

I’m anxiously waiting to get some knives back from Buck. This is my first SPA experience so I’m wondering how sharp the factory edge is. How does it compare to Spyderco’s factory edge, for example?

Thx for the input.

It'll come back like they just built it. I've got a 72 inverted 3 line General and small. 3 scale rivet 2 dot 110 that will be going back soon. I have no doubt they will shave hair with no pressure when I get them back. They will also be to time period correct bevel for whichever knife is being beautified.

If that is what you request.
For the vintage knives you have a choice of the period correct or the post 2000(?) modern bevel.

Not a super precise hand stoned mirror edge or anything, but a factory sharpened Buck knife is something to be careful with.
Any Buck I've gotten new was capable of shaving hair from my arm.

Mine was fine; Edge 2000 on an older 440C Buck 110 - a fantastic combination, my favorite working 110 since the Spa Treatment. OH

I simply CANNOT wait to get my knives back. I've got a 501, (3) 503's, (3) 703's, a 701, and a 704 getting the SPA treatment. I've got a 705, 709, and (2) 501's that will be going in after I get these back. Can you tell that I like wood handles, LOL!

Nice! What was your work order on them? Just the spa?

Mostly. One of the 503's had a slightly high tip that would catch your finger now and then, the 704's blade was off center, rubbing the side, and the 701 had a small rough spot on one of the bolsters. All in all, nothing too major for the pros at Buck. I'm sure they took care of them for me. I got an email with the tracking information; my knives are supposed to arrive tomorrow!!:):):)

Buck has some real craftsmen both male and female. maybe the best factory edge's in the business. Spyderco also puts out a mean factory edge as well.

The Buck Spa jobs are amazing! I picked up an old no dot 110 one time at a gun show where David Martin was displaying his Buck Knives exhibit. That old knife was really beat up bad and when it returned from the spa it looked like a new knife.
