Howdy Buck Fans,

So, I'm decidedly close to the Buck Factory and am surely a fan of their knives, but in all the years since they moved here, I've never visited the factory.

I work in manufacturing (casting, forging, machining, etc.) and have been in many manufacturing and machine shops so I guess I always just thought of it as another one. I know, I know, kinda dumb cuz, um, knives, but it has just been that way. :)

But, I'm definitely going over there this year. I have a couple friends who want to go as well and they were asking if Buck does an annual sale or offers seconds and such?

Anything else I should know or might want to consider.

Thanks much.

Factory sales twice a year. Xmas and fathers day. Factory tours available 5 days a week but not during the sale. Too many people. And yes factory blem cases in the factory store. Definately call ahead for the tour and they will reserve your spot.

You can find some treasures in those blem cases, take a good, hard look!

I’d like to get out there someday and see the Buck factory and tour the area. That’s a ways out there from here in Kansas, some 1500 miles or so. I’ve driven out to Boise and a bit west into Oregon in 2001 but not the north end. It’s beautiful country and northern Idaho is no except from pictures I’ve seen.

Two places I'd like to visit. The buck factory is one and Whites Boots is the other in that area.

I lived south of Boise for several years. Beautiful country.

WA, OR, and ID have very diverse ecosystems. I love the high deserts as much as the mountains and the rain forests.

If I remember right, when I was a kid, White's Boots was a little shop next to the K-Mart on Division. Both are gone now. K-Mart closed and Whites moved of course.

I don't think pictures are allowed. You can take pictures of the museum. They dont like pictures taken inside the store.
