Buck fakes

I thought I'd give you guys a heads-up on this guy who's been selling counterfeit Benchmades, TOPS, Kabars and Bucks on Ebay. He "claims" they are the real thing, but you can clearly see that most of the items are fakes. He's also posted pics of the knockoffs, then replaces them by real pics stolen off of other sites. Well, he now has a Buck Tarani that he claims is real, but the picture is lifted from another site. Get a load of the description:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=73523&item=6506790382&rd=1

Here's another so-called Buck knife he's selling:

This "guy" won't last long on eBay. Look at his location and feedback.

It would be foolish to bid on any of his listings.

Yeah, it seems he's using a Chinese version of the manufacturer's descriptions, then using software to translate it to English. Also, many of his photos are obviously not of the real knives. Kind of dumb to sell a BuckMaster with "Taiwan" clearly visible in the photo...

If I were to sell phony crap on eBay, I'd just copy the English description and steal photos from the manufacturers' websites. Guess he's not to bright... After earlier criticism that his auction knives didn't have the proper markings, he's now either stealing some photos, or adding the markings himself.

Also, notice the bidder on some of the items is the same bidder that gave him positive feedback earlier. It's either his friend, brother, or alter-ego.

There are lots of people out there that "aren't too bright" and also copy the English descriptions.... Back when I was searching for whether any sites mention that the Buck Diamondbacks were "Made in Taiwan," I came across the phrase 'tactile rubbeer' (rather than rubber...) on several of the sites describing the knife. I just searched Google for "tactile rubbeer" and I got 44 results, each describing Buck Diamondbacks: http://www.google.com/search?q="tactile+rubbeer"&hl=en&lr=&filter=0

Most sites seem to have a picture of the Diamondback 3.25 when describing the Diamondback 4.25, and vice versa.

If there's a typo, you shouldn't copy....

Thanks for the post. Funny. Or not so, considering. For a while a year of so ago I was selling a bunch of Nighthawks on Ebay that I got a bargain price on. There was an almost identical China made version out then, but I haven't seen them for a while.

Oh yeah, I just looked at the seller's other items up on Ebay auction. He's fer sure using shill bidders, most likely himself.

Overcharging would seem one easy way to rip people off...kinda like claiming that a "Taiwan" stamped Buck Master is made by Buck Knives.

Did I read it wrong or is shipping $35.00? It's a little high isn't it?
Well, if he's really in China, where he probably buys the knives for $5 or less...

People like this make me sick, Someone should report him to e-bay customer service if nobody has done that yet, And if e-bay doesen't do anything write an e-mail to the REAL knife manufacturers that he's selling the rip-off copys of, I have A feeling if e-bay got A letter from Buck they would shut him down pretty quick.

"Q: Is this model called the Buck Isaripoff? I really like the Isaripoff models and you seem to have a lot of them. answered on: Jan-23-05
A: i have a lot of BUCK,If you buy more than one item . the shipping cost will be combine , So it will be very low!!"

That question went right over his head HAHA.

You guys...where's your courtesy? This poor fellow is a fledgling Chinese tycoon when the industry yeild knife have established ate up mysterious dumd-azze....[I have seen similar rip-offs for 4-wheelers on eBay]..come on Buck, protect your good name...

Seems like he's stealing pics off of Tad Gear for his "Mission" knives now as well. I wish ebay would do something about him, but I guess they're too busy with raising the fees so they can provide a better auction environment.... :barf:

I've said it 100 times, ebay does NOT care as long as he is paying his fees! Does Buck know about this guy? I know Benchmade knows about him and is trying to work with eBay to get something done about it.

To add to this I just noticed that his feedback has increased as of the past 2 days. This doesn't help matters at all. He even has one feedback saying:

"excellent ,fast and authentic !!! you can trust this guy eyes wide shut !!!!"

I find it highly suspect that someone actually said "authentic" and "trust" when well, well all are the wiser. I'm also wondering about 2 of the feedbacks he has from users with "private" feedback profiles, and also 1 with an "unverified" fbp.

You can see his ready supply of "borrowed" pics of the "authentic" knives he sells. Where do these people come from?

Disgusting, I really dislike this guy and I'm letting it get to me. Look at that, about a hundred copyright violations I'm guessing? Somebody said this on another thread "If they can make ripoffs so close to the real thing, why don't they just make their own brand?"... I agree, but for that you need creativity and these people have none, no creativity, no imagination, no true skills. Scum of the earth.
