Buck family knives for sale ?

This may be a dumb question but I often see knives for auction on the site that claim that they are the personal knives of either Chuck or CJ from their collections. I can't believe that the family are selling off personal collection stuff, so are these real and if so how are they obtain? Just curious, although curiosity killed the cat!

The persons selling most of the Buck Knives that state they are from Chuck or CJ's personal collection both live nearby the Buck factory and rubs elbows with all the right people. Chuck and CJ have quite a few of the 1st off the line
Buck Knives in their personal collection and on an occasion lets a few go to certain individuals. The ones I have seen on the auction site are legit.
