Buck fans?

Hey all, found this at a good price on the auction site a while back and had been meaning to do something with it. Always thought the Vanguard looked interesting so I picked it up. It's a 2002 model i think?



made it a new pair of pants





because the original had some issues (and was nylon and kydex



my usual left of center fit and finish i'm afarid



did some light sand polishing on the guard and bolsters



Cleaned up the blade a little



don't know what to do with it now because I don't have a lot of need for it, I have Jks and this sees more useful for skinning and maybe a zombie invasion

still i do like playing with different knives,

The vanguard is a great production hunting knife. I've field dressed more deer than I can remember with this model as well as skinned and completely butchered a few as well before I got a Buck boning knife. Fits my hand like a glove.

I have the slightly shorter wood handle version from Bass Pro, it`s a great knife.

Cool knife -

I have some Bucks - the anvil is indeed the date code for 2002.

I like the new pants - that knife is much happier now that you have adopted it.
