This is my first 300 series knife so not sure if it's more firm than others . It seems just right I wouldn't want it any stiffer. Over all I think I got lucky everything seems good . No play in the blades no gaps pretty even grinds . I'am liking it. Hope when you get yours you're happy with ithows the pull...better and more firm than most 300s?
I'm not 100% sure but think that is a one off Joe Houser did and the handles are purple heart wood. James will confirmJust saw this thread James what is that 317 LE. Never seen or heard about an LE 317.
