i was at an outdoor expo in hamburg ny today and at one of the shops i saw a two bladed buck knife. it had a synthetic handle and a plain edge blade and a partcially serrated edge and i was wondering what the name of it was thanks

I always thought they were great little knives, hated to see them discontinued. If memory serves me correctly, the 274 was made in both Japan AND the USA. The original plan was that they would both be made over there then we pulled the 274 back to the El Cajon plant.
We then went to work on getting the 275 in house and just about the time we were ready to do that, they were discontinued.
I think we were bringing them in house because we could make them quicker, it was not a quality issue. Hope this helps.

Funny this knife has now been discussed twice in one week, but I don't recall it ever really being a topic before!
 
The ECCO's were a topic a few years back. If I remember right, are a much admired little knife.

I have one each. And also have the Coleman labeled metal handled one that is very similar. Its one I carry in the truck and have used often.
