Buck for a Biker?

I know there are a bunch of riders in this forum, what Buck do you take on your bike and why? (and what do you ride?)

I take a 110 in its sheath on my belt along with a non-Buck multitool. Sometimes I also put an Odyssey in my tailpack. Nothing in my pockets because things tend to fall out on my pothole filled roads. Anyone carry a fixed blade? I worry about a fixed blade stabbing me in a crash. :(

(and I ride a Honda Shadow VLX)

I don't ride, but when I do come across bikers I always give a furtive glance to see what (if anything) they're carrying. 99 times out of 100, that "knife" I spied on their belt turns out to be a cell phone.

On my belt I carry a 110 and a Leatherman Wave. Between my legs is a 96 Heritage Softail.

i think of the 110 as a classic biker knife. back in the day, i think it was Easy Rider Magazine that had an article on how to put finger grooves in a 110. it was a mid to late 70's mag.

1> Depends. Long hauls, Buck Strider tanto (see pic). Usually though, a 119or 120. 889SBMF is also always with me.

2> Because they won't let me carry a gun

I tend to swith knives around that I carry each day though when I ride I almost always carry the same thing I carry a 110 in a sheath, and a small custom Anza fixed blade.
HD road glide

I carry a custom shoppe 110 on my Road King along with a Leatherman Charge in the saddlebag

Well, to be quite honest I don't know that i've ever had a buck with me on my bike before. I just recently got back into bucks, and it just recently got to be riding season again. Next time (maybe tomorrow) by 532 will be on my hip. Maybe my old 110 will find a place on there as well. So...

1) 532 and/or 110
2) because there is NOWHERE for me to put a gun
3) 1980 Honda CX500

Great bikes everyone

Goose... now we know where Buck gets that sweet buffalo horn for their handles.... ;)

Schiesz: Before my current ride I had a CX500. What a great bike, wish I still had it.

Up until recently I carried a Buck 112 automatic. Now I just carry my new Buck Bos Trio in my boot. For me there is only one motorcycle and its my 1999 FXR2. Talk about a collectable!!

Messy...
In your original post, you were concerned about a knife poking ya in a crash. It happened to someone that I know.
It went into his leg near the forward part of his thigh. Lucky it didn't hit an artery...but it did some damage.

Here is a pic of Darryl and his "old" lady, Rosie Dorado, puttin' in the Florida sun. He's too shy to post it himself.
He's sportin' a 110 in his fanny pack and his woman a 271.

The only knife I carry every day on the bike is a Swiss army knife , we are not allowed to carry anything big like a sheath knive Downunder.

I think the only true knife for a 'biker' (not a biker wannabee) is a lawnmower blade ground to form a handle and hung from the belt with a rawhide thong...
