It is nearly six years ago that I found a 119 special with phenolic handle
and brass guard and pommel and got to know that it is from the Buck Gold Series.
Later I found the corresponding 103BP. And now - thanks to the worldwide
auctioneer - I colud buy the last missing knife of this series, the 102.

Here it is.

But as I got to know too there were different BP models sold - with or without etching,
different stamps and so on. Do you have pictures?

Best,
Haebbie

Haebbie, a great set I didn't know about . Your 103 looks to have a different stamping . All mirror polished blades . DM

Now i'm sure that I love the looks of those, always wondered what that combination would look like!

Must be a European thing.

Never saw one before.

I'd certainly grab one if I got the chance, though. Nice looking knives!

:)

Yes, David, they have different stamps. I bought a second 102,
that has a Buck custom stamp like the 103. But my two 119 BP
have the standard stamp both.

No, BG, the BPs are not an European thing. I bought the most of them in the
"States".

Amazing.

I just can't remember seeing one before.

Although.....my memory is NOT what it used to be.

;)

Anyhow.....a great find. I'll have to look harder for that variety (if that's possible).

:D

If past history holds true, some will show up on e-Bay within hours.

I swear that some sellers monitor this forum and tailor their offerings according to interest expressed here.

:D

Thanks, Guys, for the kind comments.

What I saw in the pictures first time was that the 102 has red spacers.
- Are the 119 and the 103 were offered with red spacers too?
- Was the 102 was sold with black spacers also?
- Is there anybody who has answers to this questions?

Best,
Haebbie

I saw the 119 at the Passedina Ca, Blade Expo. I thought of picking it up but blew my money on other knives. It looks a little funny to me.
