buck gut hook

Hello all,
I was jsut wondering what the best way to sharpen the gut hook on my buck skinner would be? does buck have a special sharpener for this task? I have skinned a few too many deer with this and the hook is getting very dull. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

Try the ceramic rod out of a crock stick, the small ones work great.

I also think that one of the diamond particle coated rods would work well on a very dull gut hook. Just be sure and remove any burr edges which may remain. It is likely that one of the ceramic sticks Vern recommended would work well for this.
