Buck/Hartsook Neck Knife

here is a size comparison....
I haven't used one much but will try it out on field dressing a deer
and skinning it .M
aybe a little small for this but we will see.

I'm really interested to hear your opinion Earl, I like the idea, but it does seem to be a bit small. Perhaps if it was in a very small sheath for horizontal wear on your belt, or perhaps a folding version of the same size for carry on a key chain.

Thanks for the comparison pics. It is much smaller than I imagined. I guess I should have read the description better. :)

Oh well, I want it anyway.

Yeah, that is pretty cool. Shape kine reminds me of the symbol that was used by The "Artist" Formerly Known as Prince (you old farts are scratchin' your noggin  ).

California is really funky about knife laws. I have a CS Spike that I would never dare wear. It's fun to let the kids play mumbly-peg with it when they come over and then you can wipe it off to get pickles outta the jar.

Perhaps with the Buck beng smaller, I can wear it and if questioned I could tell them it is a religious symbol...that seems to work for anything out here.

well i for one want a better, much better look at that 560!!!
i may have a better blade for it! hee hee;)

knifecenter has them for $23.00. i just recieved one today.one thing about this knife that i wasn't ready for was how thin the stock is...it's 1/16 of an inch. i had to tighten up the neck sheath with electrical tape,as it was so loose, that the knife fell out of it when tipped upside down.

yeah i was pretty surprised when i pulled it out of the box. the first thing i thought of when i saw it was, what is this for? mob surgery? might be a good knife for the camping first aid kit,for use as an emergency scalpel.

Mine came in friday. It also had the problem with the sheath not holding the knife in. I am using a rubber band to hold it for now. I think I will try to find a black colored rubber band so it looks better. This thing is tiny.

... .064 inches thick???...Don't know 'bout that...figure I'd never be able to pick it up off of a table...

I like that Sirus, but what's the story on the 560 BG-42? Is that covered in another thread you can recall?
