"If it's on the internet it must be true" (Benjamin Franklin)

These two knives are so new I could not find them listed on the website yet.
I'll bet even bucksway bucksway does not have these in his 112 collection yet.
I gave the seller a heads up which produced the following response.

**** I contacted Buck Knives Co. I Sent pictures of both knives in question.
**** The sales rep said the 112 with the arrow meant limited run prototype.

**** The Damascus was a Christmas edition from their Chinese factory.

Maybe the seller got those answers from Buck's backup customer service call center in Beijing.

Funny. I contacted the seller about those same 2 earlier today and went back and forth with him for quite some time. Got the same response. I asked him to contact Tony Wagner at Buck and he says he already spoke to Buck. In the end he got angry with me and went on the attack. Althpugh he tolde the exact opposite on the knives description. The damascus one was a prototype and the one with the red and black handle was a Christmas knife made at the Buck Chinese factory. I ended it by just telling him I was trying to help and good luck on your sales.
He said they came in a Buck box with paperwork.

I see someone put a bid on the "112".

Did someone send the auction ids to Tony so he can have them pulled?

Tecate Tecate .... yeah

At least he drives an American brand car.
I did not know that the arrow meant it was a limited run prototype.... huh
Couldn't make up stuff this funny. Seller does have a number of real Buck's.
Perhaps he's confused about which pictures he sent.

Alternatively....maybe the seller is telling the truth and Houser left before his replacement was fully trained..... (just kidding)

One of my resolutions is to make this forum a more welcoming, safer, all inclusive, non judgemental place. oops.... OK, starting tomorrow.

I think it's possible that the seller didn't realize that he bought a couple of counterfeits and listed them in good faith. I do not, however, believe that he sent those images to someone at Buck and received confirmation that the two knives originated from any of their factories. Ray Charles could spot those as fakes from atop the Great Wall. Perhaps he's too prideful and stubborn to admit that he made an error.

He asked me how I know they are fakes and when I pointed out the differences he came back that I and my knives are fake and became very combative and said I was upsetting him. I than apologized to him and dropped it. Too bad someone who obviously doesn't know better has already placed a $50 bid on the one with the red and black handle. A $5 knife at best.

It’s on the facebook bcci page now. He got showed what a real 112 looks like. It’s a shame there are people who will take advantage of someone who isn’t familiar with a real product trying to pass it off as real. There’s plenty of info on Bucks official website not to mention here among experts, that could help them dicern a real one from a fake an this particular example isn’t even close. A little research can help a lot.

Maybe someone should direct him to this thread as well as facebook. I am surprised Tony Wagner from Buck has not ended his sales.

The supposed "prototype" 112 with the black and red handle now has 3 bids and is up to $55. I can't believe there are at least 2 bidders believing this garbage.

I doubt he cares hes selling fakes. if he did care, he would have pulled the auctions by now.

I expect hes trying to offload his mistake on someone else or is okay with selling fakes. take your pick.

I saw they were still posted this afternoon with bids and sent Tony an email too. I also messaged the seller telling him just that.

I think he was already riled up from you other folks informing him of the counterfeit knives. The last sentence in his rant to me ended with..."Your like a bunch of Harry Potter's club buddies at Hogwarts with your little wands fighting imaginary demons while all the girls laugh your little WAND!".

🤣 Funny...I just responded with "Have a good day sir".

I see that he just ended the "Buck Folding Knife Damascus and Blackwood" listing, which was a buy it now auction, and relisted as bidding auction with a new title "Buck Folding Knife".
