coyote, The model you mention is a good edge guide . Even author Steve Bottorff in his book on sharpening wrote about Buck's model 136 Honemaster saying, " if you can find one get it " . They are well built, adjustable, easy to work and are a huge asset in helping one hold a consistent edge angle during sharpening . If your having trouble in this area of sharpening, get one as it will make you a pro . I still find them at knife shows, flea markets and sleeze-bay . Even if its found without the box the model #'s stamped into the metal body . Good luck . DM
