Every year collectors wait to see if new models will be introduced. Sometimes the new knives have a short production life, but a few find their niche and last. Just for fun, post photos of models you like—one folder and one fixed blade introduced after the year 2000. (I'm someone who believes 2000 was the end of the 20th century and 2001 was the beginning of the 21st century.) My choice for a folder is one of the Vantage knives. I'm showing the 340 Small Vantage, although I actually prefer the larger model. For a fixed blade my choice is the 538 Small Game Open Season. I think Buck did a good job with the design of the whole Open Season series.

I don’t have pictures right now but the folding knife I have used the most and have been very pleased with is my Vantage Pro 20cv with brown canvas micarta handle through skblades. It has been my primary work knife in some harsh conditions and heavy cutting chores. Stays sharp for a long time and not to hard to keep sharp. A very close 2nd would be my 303 cadet.

The fixed blade knife I have used and enjoyed the most is the 117 small special. It is a nice all around knife for fishing, hunting and camping. Not to small and not to big, just right for me. I’d like to see it in S35vn!

I have several knives I use and rotate for different tasks and depending on what I am doing and sometimes it’s hard to pick just one.

vantage large size in 13c26. love this steel. wished we had more knives made in it.

the gck. this is a great knife that still cuts well and is beefy enough to not snap or break and able to handle real abuse.

I'll submit my personal favorite. The ecolite series. It was a big bummer when they were discontinued.
