First off, this is my first review so bear with me!

I grabbed this thing from the Buck store in Post Falls, Id at a Christmas sale. $45.

Spine: Juuuust under a 1/4 inch
Blade: 5 1/4 cutting edge
Steel: 420HC Stainless with a black traction.
Handle: About 4 3/4 usable
Material: Textured plastic. Removable.
Weight: 10.7oz
Sheath. Nice tactical sheath with an extra pouch.
Price: $60

I have always liked heavy knives, so this fit what I was looking for perfectly. An amazing price for an American made blade like this, too

I took this thing out into the woods the same day. Shaving sharp right out of the box. Did some limbing with it, and it went through 1.5" branches in a couple of swipes - easy. Batoned right through some wet pine like hot butter.

Ever since, I have used if for any work I may need. I think I sharpened it twice? It takes and holds an edge for quite some time. Very durable, tough blade. Would make a hell of a fighting knife! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a workhorse blade.
