Buck Juno edge durability

I recently started using a Buck Juno lockback for work purposes in a factory environment. It was not a dull knife NIB and seemed to work OK on a camping trip several months back for light duty. At work, however, it does not seem to be able to hold an edge for long. I sharpened it once down (just the plain edge) to what seemed to be a fairly good edge, but it was sort-of dull within two days. I do admit that it sees heavy use in the factory. This does not seem to be satisfactory to me however. I had a small Gerber LST that I used for work before and it could go at least two weeks without a sharpening and was still fairly sharp even then.

I know this is a pretty inexpensive knife. That may be part of the problem.

I would be interested in any similar or differing experiences anyone has had with this model
