Ok guys this is my first post brand new to the forum and exited to be a part of the community. My question deals with a knife and to its value. Ive owned several BUCK knives through the years but never was a hardcore collector of BUCKS. Really liked them just never owned a bunch of them I know years ago they made an upscale swept blade knife called the Kalinga. have seen a few on Ebay, and at shows but not really sure on the value and collector appeal. A guy i do alot of trading with has one. No box with sheath in nice conditon unsharpened, but with alittle wear. Hes firm on 150$. I offered 130$. Is it worth 150$ or am i paying full blown retail. Thanks any info appreciated.

A friend of mine just sold one to another friend for $110 if that helps any. $130 sounds like a fair price, $150 seems kind if high to me but that depends on how bad you want the knife and what the knife means to you. If you really like/want it, is it worth it to miss out over 20 bucks?

That seems high to me.

There's an older, a slightly newer and the newest version of Kalingas.

You have to do a little more research and find out which one you're buying. The e-Bay can teach you a lot about different versions and values.

Or get us a picture.

Hey Joe, welcome aboard! I'm not a moderator, just a noob here too, but I believe in order to discuss pricing you need Gold Level membership. (Gold lets you buy/sell here.) So be advised, a Mod may give you a friendly reminder of the rules. Kalinga is a nice knife though... Good luck.
