It was a cold day here but I was out looking for Gambel quail giving my dog some exercise, in hopes of using my Buck knife.
These early 90's, second generation Bucklites work very well cleaning quail. They have thin, pointy blade tips and this profile works in narrow places. DM

David, great photo, it sure looks chilly!

Agreed, those second generation Bucklites are good.

Liberando, Thank you. Plus, today gave us a chilly wind. The snow melted in most places. Still, I paid a prices for this pair of roosters. My dog brought both to me and laid them at my feet. DM

Looking superb David. You have that beautiful dog trained well :) hope to have the same one day

I gotta ask though.. Whats cold? Cause to me -20 celcius is what chills this Canuck ;)

Hunter, Thanks. It's always good to get out and exercise some with your dog, gun and knife. That was a true double on the flush. That barrel is the most open choke I have a IM. DM

Doug, Thank you. My dog just took to my rube training. I don't recall the conversion but it was 30* with a 20mph WNW wind. So, perhaps 20*F. A type of day I don't care to remain outdoors. My dog was oblivious to it. Once you start out for quail, she's all business. DM
