Buck knife factory cerakote

I recently purchased a Buck 119 with a blue cerakote blade. I was wondering if this was a factory option or is this a custom job. I have seen this exact knife in more than 1 place.

It could be either. I know when Buck got their in house Cerakote up and going some years back there were some different colors and different models appearing on DOGPOUND77 's ebay site. Maybe he'll see this and give you more information.

I haven't seen a blue 119 run of any kind yet......but a factory test model made it out to us collectors is very possible.

no picture of the knife here...the blue blades ones i have were test blades done back in 2018-then ratholed in the shop--they finally pulled them out in may of this year and built them all out for the factory sale in june...i dont know if they will ever have all the colors as a factory option....i think now the only option is black cerakote on 119s...that would be cool if they did add more colors someday like with the 722 spitfire...
so im not sure what knife the op has but it was probably one of the test blades.....

Unique knife, some questions...is the tang stamp dated, where did you purchase it, did it come with the box and what does the label on the end of it say?
