Can anyone give me a brief history on Buck blade stamps? Some knives have a "/" behind the model number, some have a "c" behind the number, some just have the number. Is there a timeline to go by in order to narrow down the years a knife might have been made? Also, spacer and sheath snap info might be helpful. Thanks.

Head over to the Buck forum in Makers and Manufacturers. They're good guys over there. Also, if you can get your hands on a copy of Levine's Price Guide, he's got a good section in there that lists all the stamps.

Definitely post in the Buck forum. Vern Taylor, Buck employee for 35 or more years, CJ Buck, who's been there his whole life and can also ask his Dad Chuck Buck, and Joe Houser, customer relations, who will find out for you if he doesn't know. If they dont have the answer you need, there isnt one.

Many thanks to all of you for your help. I'm on my way to the Buck Forum now.
