His is definatley not the 107. The 107 was only like 8" overall. With his 5.75" blade, it's the middle knife of the set.As stated, that's the Empress kitchen knife version of the Buck 107. I read somewhere that this kitchen knife was found to be a very good bird and trout knife, so Buck rebranded it as the 107 for field use. Usually, the 107s have black micarta handles, or wood handles with no bolster, as opposed to the reddish/brown micarta on the Empress knife.
Your are correct! It is the middle sized knife. My mistake. I failed to see the dimensions he posted. His is definatley not the 107. The 107 was only like 8" overall. With his 5.75" blade, it's the middle knife of the set.
Its descendent lives on today in the Buck product line as the model 933 4" Paring knife. Also available as a serrated steak knife just like the original Windsor set.It would be Great if they brought the 107 back!!!

The model 200 Empress Trio cutlery set consisted of a 4" Paring, 6" Utility, and 9" Carving knife. The individual knives in the set did not have model numbers. The popular 4" Paring knife went on to a solo career and was given the 107 model number. As already said, your knife is the middle 6" Utility.
