I stumbled across this web site tonight; has anyone else ever seen it?

http://buck-knife-shop.com/Home_Page.html

The site initially gives the impression, at least to me, that this is an official BKI site, complete with a photo of the Buck Knife Factory in Post Falls on its home page. It has some nice info, regarding blades, handles, warranty work, etc. However, as one works his way through the various pages of this site, one finds numerous links to various listings of buck knives listed on ebay. Something just does not seem right here. Anyone else have any thoughts??

Looks to me like a clever e-bayer who knows enthusiasts are loyal to Buck but many hesitate to deal with e-bay- as one forumer said in a recent thread "I was bottom feeding in the bay". This guy figgers he can get some bites from people who dont have any use for e-bay. Pretty smart but pretty underhanded as well. I dont really have a problem with ebay-my risk my fault-but I wouldnt deal with this guy knowingly just on principle. Shouldnt word it like its a sub page of Buck.

The knives listed are for sale by different sellers (all on the bay). It seems strange he would list knives from different sellers. I wonder if he has their permission to do this.

...Here's one of the offerings of one of his "sellers"...He says this is just how he got it from Buck in 1987...What doesn't look right about this??...Am I missing some info here???...

...Uh Oh...Maybe it's the missing scale pin...:eek:...or maybe I missed that configuration all along...I've been known to do that...:p

like.. i dont know for sure but...
i think the custom shop did use only two scale pins at times

any one know who - Miguel C. Taitano is ?
i am willing to bet he knows of the forum and has been here..
and sold on ebay or bought there..

i dont know what this fellow is wanting to do ..
every thing is ebay and like as not he is a ebay seller
could be he is wanting to make a buck selling for others on ebay..
he does not say he is a dealer or contact him..

it is likely safe to say most of us will buy at a deal if we can..

he has a start on a open site that some of us have spoke of ..
he speaks good of buck knives and has some good information ...
over all- my first thoughts in my rare Zen mode at 4 am ..
he never says he is a official buck site ...
but he does not say he is not..

he does say he sent in one of his knives..
""I've sent in a few Buck knives for repair..""
he could have put a link to the official web site
odd that he does not have a
contact us line or did i miss it?
he has put a lot of work in this site

other wize .. not a biggie.
another buck nut and one that knows how to build a web site
did better then i could !!

going back to bed now
you guys investigate this some more and let me know in the morning ..
