OK, guys I'm new at this but here goes. I have little knowledge of Buck knives; but I have a double leather holster with 2 Buck knives. Has 104 stamped in the leather belt loop on back of holster. Is that the model #, and can anyone give me info on this set up? Thanks.

In general, the 104 is the Twinset, consisting of the 102 Woodsman and the 103 Skinner. Handle descriptions and tang stamps can help date your knives. Pictures are worth a thousand words:)

Scott: You are right, they are the 102 and 103 knives. This is my first post so don't know how yet to add pictures. Will have to research further on how to do that. The only ID marks are on the blades near the guard(Buck USA) I assume that is standard; don't see any additional letters or numbers. Just has two brown spacers on the top of handle and two on the guard.

Here's the photos of the knives:

 ...Nice set there "junkie"...I have a real strong constitution when it comes to accumulating knives and I've been keeping it to the single blade "folders" that I was brought up with. There are times, however, that I kinda wish it had been "fixed blades" that had caught my attention years ago...LOL... :p ( But I am a stubborn ol' cuss...:D )

tipsjunk, that's a nice combo. It was made sometime between 1968 and 1971. Personally, I'm thinking more towards '68 just looking at the spacers in the handle. There are quite a few Buck Collectors Club members that frequent this forum, and one of them would know for sure, probably from the sheath or handle spacers.

Thanks for the info Scott and Darryl, I'm not a collector just happened to run across this set at a Garage Sale in Sin, oppps, Sun City Az. I knew the name BUCK was a good product so I bought it. I'm more of a collector of Junk which I rejuvenate and resell to keep hotdogs on the table.

I've recently aquired a Boxed set of Buck steak knives(6). They are in a nice Walnut? box. Inside box says: Buck Royalty Line of Custom Cutlery. The handles. I believe are Teak. The people that I bought them from had their names and date of Vow commitments on the left side of each blade. "Bummer". Any idea of their worth? Try to get pics up later. They are a beautiful set of knives.
