The NRA annual meeting was this weekend here in St Louis. Ironic since St Louis isn't a very gun friendly city (convention money talks) but that's another story. Knowing Buck Knives was going to have a booth at the show I did something I normally avoid doing and took a trip into the city today. I was just sure going to the Buck booth would be a worthwhile experience. I even pulled out a brand new Buck Knives ball cap to wear .. :) Perhaps my anticipation raised my expectation beyond reason, there were a couple of display cases where I could see some of the new knives but other than that, there wasn't much to offer. I was hoping there might be a show special Buck/NRA knife I could buy...nope. I was also hoping to score a some Buck trinkets for my display case...nope, nothing. Not a pen, not a pin, not a patch, decal, catalogs, flyers or anything to be had. There wasn't even someone actually from Buck Knives Inc. manning the booth.

I certainly enjoyed the rest of the show, what's not to like about a show with over 500 vendors.

I must say that this picture isn't typical, I had to wait a bit to find a moment where there wasn't a bunch of people in the way.

Nice photo. What is the third picture down on the left of? I would have enjoyed chating with those non-Buck folks and signed them up in the collectors club. I bet it was a nice large show. DM

CJ, Was indeed at this show as well as several members. I've been reading about it. I don't know where everybody was when you happened by. DM

Very cool and wish I could attend both. I did attend the other show aka the 425 vendors (all knife) in Eugene, Oregon, at the 37th OKCA knife show. I meet Buck Director of Consumer Relations, Joe Houser there as Buck had a table there also. Not as nice a display, but great prices on many Buck knives:thumbup: Did they sell Buck knives at the St Louis NRA show?

... Did they sell Buck knives at the St Louis NRA show?

Yes, It appeared that all the knives in the two cases had price tags. There were a number of knives in the cases on my "2012 list" but as a BCCI member there are better purchasing options. I think the people running the booth were Ozark Cutlery from Joplin, MO (endevergsp on eBay) so I wonder if the inventory was theirs and not Buck Inc's.
