The NRA annual meeting was this weekend here in St Louis. Ironic since St Louis isn't a very gun friendly city (convention money talks) but that's another story. Knowing Buck Knives was going to have a booth at the show I did something I normally avoid doing and took a trip into the city today. I was just sure going to the Buck booth would be a worthwhile experience. I even pulled out a brand new Buck Knives ball cap to wear ..
Perhaps my anticipation raised my expectation beyond reason, there were a couple of display cases where I could see some of the new knives but other than that, there wasn't much to offer. I was hoping there might be a show special Buck/NRA knife I could buy...nope. I was also hoping to score a some Buck trinkets for my display case...nope, nothing. Not a pen, not a pin, not a patch, decal, catalogs, flyers or anything to be had. There wasn't even someone actually from Buck Knives Inc. manning the booth.
I certainly enjoyed the rest of the show, what's not to like about a show with over 500 vendors.
I must say that this picture isn't typical, I had to wait a bit to find a moment where there wasn't a bunch of people in the way.
