Buck knives in the field

Just thought with all of the negative posts of late, I'd start a thread for Buck knives where they shine the best, in the field. I'm not around a computer on the weekends to add to the Sunday picture show so I just thought I'd post something positive midweek.
It's been a REAL slow deerhunting season so far. I thought I'd change up my knife and take my 500 Duke along and see if it improved my luck.
It didn't. Of course, maybe if I would quit playing with my knife when I get bored hunting, I might see a deer.
Anyway, the Duke looked right at home on the deerstand.

Outstanding. This is art! I guarantee if you take the Vantage or Alpha Dorado tomorrow to the stand, you'll finally be able to use your Buck on a buck. ;)

Fantastic photo! I love the Duke 500's and when you use it on your deer this year post some action shots:thumbup:

Nice photo and thanks for posting it!!

I would need a pillow for that seat. :)

You aren't making too much noise playing around with your knife. I called a friend one time and he answered real quiet. I asked what he was doing...he was in his deer stand. I said "You have your phone on?"
Then I heard more noise in the background, so I asked what that was. He was watching the Dolphin's game on one of those little teeny TV things they came out with about ten years ago.

Thank you, Jec, for the picture. The Duke is one of my favorites. Are you shooting with your bow from this tree stand? Two arrows in the quiver (or how is it called?) that's great! One for hunting and one for back up. I think you are a good bow hunter. Have fun at the weekend and: Good Luck!!

Terrific photo. Thank you for posting it. How high up do you prefer your stand? Freezing here, how about there?

Heck yes , I don't believe in any superstitious events , but knives have that feature to be "lucky" or "non lucky" knives for their owners when it comes to the game hunting.

Thanks for all the comments. I just had my stuff laying beside me and had been playing with my knife and laid it down and decided to snap a picture with my cell phone. This stand is 15 feet up. It is 39 degrees here in Arkansas.....................freezing for a southern hillbilly!

Great photo and great looking knife. Makes me want to get out in the woods.

I've field dressed more deer using an old Bucklite 422 than anything else. I do hunt on my own property though so I'm just minutes from the house so I can get a saw or hatchet so the knife doesn't actually do the whole deer. Its not as if I'm processing the whole deer with only a knife and then packing it out for a long hike or horseback ride out like the folks out west.
I was hoping others would add some pics as well.

Beautiful knife! I don't have any handy pictures of my Buck knives actually in the field, but here's one of my old 110 hanging around in the back yard. Its definitely had its share of blood on it in the past though.

Nice photo JEC88 and a good idea for a thread. A Buck Knife belongs to be out hunting - here is my buddies first doe this season, I'm helping him clean it. I'm using this Buck 110 and he is using a Buck too (his knife is behind the deer and I'm not sure the model of his fixed blade - not a 100 series).

Out scouting for stand locations in September - the bear has been scratching on this powerline post - but I'm ready with a BuckLite 112 (yea, right!)

One from last year using my Buck 118 (the best deer knife I own) and the bullets that done the deed!

So far I've only taken a doe. Archery is my favorite way to go.

In one of my favorite stands.

Hoping for just the right opportunity.

This one hangs on my pack to cut away from a safety belt if needed.

So nice photos guys. Hunter, looks like you two are doing a decent job on the doe. Tony, good photos. I as well prefer a knife around the 4" range to do a deer. Thanks guys. DM
