Thank you in advance. I am looking for some information on these knives. I hope I am NOT being rude by asking so many questions about so many knives.

Knife 1 has 3 Pictures and are the same buck. I want to know what the handles are made of and what you think the 101/200 means.

Maybe you should start a new thread for each different knife.

They are unrelated to each other.

And the tang stamp says its a Buck, made in the USA. It's apparently a special edition associated with a Rodeo. What kind of information are your really looking for?

Thank you. I was looking to understand what the 101/200 meant. I thought it might mean a manufacturing sequence but I was not sure and now thanks to 1Tsar I am sure. I also would like to know what the handle was made from. It appears this is bone But i am not sure. I would like to know what kind of bone. Of all the knives i own, I like this knife a lot. it might be a cheapo but it feels just right. I could do better without the rodeo etching but i like it a lot anyway. :D

I renamed this thread, and copied it to the BUCK Knives forum.

Replies to the copy can be viewed there.

Depends upon how you define the term "cheapo." While certainly not the most expensive knife, I don't think anyone here would categorize it in that manner. Buck made several special production runs for various professional rodeo associations; I have several in the 532 series.

Most of them are hard to come by also ;)

No on else has bothered to mention that it appears to be a model 119 "Special"...

First one like this I've seen; they are usually hidden away in vaults, safes, bank deposit boxes, etc, as they are quite rare and command big $$$ when offered for sale... :D

Orgional cost was high too..A collector of 119s would sure want that one!

The box is worth something in itself. It looks like oak. I would also say the knife and box are worth a lot.

Hi Wuzisname,

Your Buck is a limited edition Buck 119 as Brother Trax said. It was issued in 1995, the model # is 119E3 and is a limited issue of only 200 knives (note that it was issued with a "94" blade, \ is the "94" year tang stamp). The Name of the issue is "NFR 94 Bull Rider, Stag" So as you can see it's got a gold etch on the blade, and the handle is stag.

Wow that is a very nice knife you have there. I love Bull riding and watch the PBR every weekend...So your knife is super sweet to me ;). I hope that helps you with information on this knife. Keep it and enjoy it!!!!

...Ohhhhh...Dave wants it *bad*!!!... :D

I bet if we look at that completed auction, we'll find Dave's bid was the $300 one, but it didn't hit the minimum... :(
