Buck Limited/Special edition archive?

I have a small collection of limited edition Alpha and Mini Alpha hunters. I've only seen a few variations of each. Is there an archive or list somewhere that shows past limited edition knives? Does Buck do this on an annual basis with a different model each year, or is it more random? Is there anywhere to view upcoming LE models, or do they announce them? Thanks

Richard has let you know that there is a wonderful list of SO/LE Buck knives on the BCCI web site. You must be a member to gain access to their site....that list alone is worth the price, so join the club. What Richard did not say is that he is the man behind the curtain who puts all that data together for all of us to learn from (Thanks Richard).

Here are a few Alpha's for your enjoyment. You did not say anything about the Alpha folders so I did not add any of those photo's.

Richard, thank you.
Jb, those are beautiful! What is the blade material on the very first mini alpha? Are most of these knives available somewhere, for a price obviously? I see very few variations on the bay

Hi adr78,

I have a soft spot for the Alpha series knives, they make a wonderful canvas for BKI to do their thing;). Anyway, that top 196 was a short run build-out knife Buck did to use up leftover parts from the Bob Timberlake 196 in the bottom photo, the blade is 420HC that has been full chip flint treated. I got most of these knives off the Auction sites. Good luck on your quest for some of those Alpha LEs.
