Buck Lite 426 Steel?

Hey,

I was passed down all of my fathers knives and was going through them and one was a buck lite 426. I am actually loving this knife, it is very lite and locks up tight and has no blade wobble like all the spyderco backlocks I had. The metal also sharpens up RAZOR sharp for real, to where I am whittling hairs. Is this 420HC? Does anyone know for sure. I love my 2 buck 110s and this one is much lighter for EDC carry. And I love the way it looks. Great knife!!

Incahiker, Welcome to the Buck forum and glad you like you Buck knives . Your in good company as many here like the same model for your same reasons ... As, to the steel on your model ? I could not pull up the photo so I don't know . Just tell the stamping and we'll let you know . Perhaps 425M and the way you describe it sounds correct . My wife has one and loves it, she has carried only that knife for all her cutting needs since Feb. 2007 . DM
